EDITOR'S BLOG FOR OCTOBER 10TH 2010.. I'M LOOKIN' AT THE MAN IN THE MIRROR!!!... WAIT.. I AM THE "MIRROR".. WOW..HELP!!!!

WHAT IF MICHAEAL JACKSON, THE KING OF POP WAS IN FACT THE MIRROR????

WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE READING THE ARTICLE PEOPLES..

ENJOY THE VIDEO..(HE WAS AMAZING!!)

Dope track huh.. Anyhow, so I ask you again, "What if Michael wasn't the man in the mirror, but the actual mirror itself? Don't worry.. I see you making that face again. That face that asks, "How many different drugs is this guy on?" "WHAT IS THIS GUY SAYING??" HAHAH! No drugs yall, just a little perspective from another realm LOL!

Michael, the "King" of pop (so sad that he is gone) was the most influential artist of our century (and with reason). He was one of the most gifted human beings that the earth had ever witnessed, but WHY?? WHY DID GOD GIVE MICHAEL ALL OF THAT TALENT ONLY TO ALLOW HIM TO DIE SO YOUNG?? That's a question that only God can answer because it is beyond our understanding. Sometimes we need to just accept the fact that some things will NEVER be revealed to us.

In the former billboard #1 hit song "Man in the Mirror" Michael once again gave the world a subtle access pass into the"labyrinth"called HIS MIND, and revealed to us that he may have been struggling with identity. This could have also been about us (society). Maybe he was satirizing our society's unwillingness to point the finger at us, and not toward our brothers/sisters. I love this passage (Matthew 7:3-5) in the bible where Christ teaches us to "look at the man in the mirror" so to speak...

Look At Your Own Issues

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

4"How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?"

5"You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

Don't dwell on someone else's imperfections because there's a bigger one that has created a big fat mansion inside of YOU!!! Sorry... HAHAHA! Moving on...

Michael was a boy living in a man's body, largely in part to his life- long music career. As a child he was forced to "work", and labor to a degree whereby it is safe to deem it unhealthy for the development of a child. Some people fail to realize that if someone is born to accomplish something, a "normal" environment will not inhibit that accomplishment. There is always a point where we need to evaluate the progress of our gifting and assess it accordingly, but for the most part all we need at the developmental stages of our life is a balanced and healthy environment. Michael Jackson did not have a healthy, normal environment in the developmental (formative) stages of his life, and it seems as though he paid a hefty fine for his undeniable misfortune as a child. He had huge issues with the man in the mirror. The man in the mirror never seemed to be comfortable of content for Michael Jackson. I think Michael knew that the "Man in the Mirror" could either destroy him/us or be his/our savior. The idea of the "Man in the Mirror" is not only something formed for the understanding of man. I asked a question at the very beginning of this article.. "WHAT IF MICHAEL IS (WAS) IN FACT THE MIRROR??"

We as humans have a major hubris (downfall).. We are self- centered to the maximum. We think that we are alone on this earth. We think that our world is the most important one and that we are only accountable to our own (fellow humans).

What if that mode of though is a gigantic misconception, or a deception on our part?

What if we're not the most important world or realm in the galaxies of this universe?

What if we are in fact accountable to someone or something else???

What if there is a man upstairs who is using us as a mirror?? I can see you squinting shaking your head again, but what if God is staring at us; looking at us intently with hopes of seeing His reflection in us? Have you ever though about that? I hadn't until I was talking to a friend (Stave) on Thursday night about life and how we have to wait for some of the great things that God has in store for us all as humans. He said to me (paraphrasing BIGTIME).. We are like gold, and God is putting us through a process. This process (the gold- refining process) may include, stumbling blocks, mishaps, pain, deception, loss, sadness, delay and many other terrible things, but after the refining process is completed we will look so amazing. We will glow with a perfection that is divine. That divine glow is God's love, grace, and wisdom bursting out of us, and when Christ looks at us, He will then be able to see Himself (His reflection) in us. WOWWWWW!!!!!  God is soo amazing.

The beauty of the love of Christ is that He doesn't want to be some big, motionless God over humanity. He wants to befriend us, and as we get closer to him, he projects his image in us. He wants us to resemble Him, and He stares at us continuously, with a childlike expectancy to see the reflection of Himself in us. WE ARE THE MIRROR YALL, BUT WHAT ARE WE REFLECTING??? DO WE LOOK LIKE HIM, OR DO WE LOOK LIKE SIN??

Michael Jackson is one of my favorite performers, musicians, singers/songwriters of all time and his heart is revealed in the chorus of "Man in the Mirror". But a question sparks within me when I look at the fragility of his words. In the chorus he says,

"I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change.."

He decided to start with the man in the mirror.. and he said that in order to make the world a better place we need to look at ourselves, but what if the man in the mirror is still just a mere man or a woman?? What if the man/woman in the mirror looks like you do right now; can that man or woman in the mirror change the world on their own??? What if the man in the mirror looks nothing like Jesus Christ, and is not motivated by love and uprightness?? Can you change the world for the better without looking like God??

What do you see when you look in the mirror??

May everyone who has read this be blessed abundantly, and may the light of God rock the mind body and soul of every individual who reads this. May you all look in the mirror and see God’s love, mercy, grace and strength in Jesus' name!

Be blessed Yall..
